March 1: Numbers 14-15; Psalm 90

Psalm 90:1-2:  “Lord, you have been our dwelling place throughout all generations.  Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the earth, . . from everlasting to everlasting, you are God.”

March 2: Numbers 16-17

Numbers 17:8 & 10: “Aaron’s staff had not only sprouted but had budded, blossomed and produced almonds. . . .  The Lord said to Moses, ‘Put back Aaron’s staff in front of the Testimony, to be kept as a sign.’”

March 3: Numbers 18-20

Numbers 20:12: “The Lord said to Moses and Aaron, ‘Because you did not trust in me enough to honor me as holy in the sight of the Israelites, you will not bring this community into the land I give them.’”

March 4: Numbers 21-22

Numbers 22:18: “Even if [the king] gave me his palace filled with silver and gold, I could not do anything great or small to go beyond the command of the Lord my God.”

Numbers 33:51-53:  “When you cross the Jordan into Canaan, drive out all the inhabitants of the land before you.  Destroy all their cast idols. . . .  Take possession of the land and settle in it, for I have given you the land to possess.”

Deuteronomy 3:24: “O Sovereign Lord . . . what god is there in heaven or on earth who can do the deeds and mighty works you do?”

Deuteronomy 6:4-5:  “Hear, O Israel:  The Lord our God, the Lord is one.  Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.”

Deuteronomy 10:14-15: “To the Lord your God belong the heavens . . . the earth and everything in it.  Yet the Lord set his affection on your forefathers and loved them, and he chose you.”

March 15: Deuteronomy 11-13

Deuteronomy 11:4:  “It is the Lord your God you must follow, and him you must [worship].  Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him.”

March 16: Deuteronomy 14-16

Deuteronomy 15:4:  “There should be no poor among you, for in the land the Lord your God is giving you to possess as your inheritance, he will richly bless you, if only you fully obey.”

March 17: Deuteronomy 17-20

Deuteronomy 18:15:  “The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own brothers.  You must listen to him.”

March 18: Deuteronomy 21-23

Deuteronomy 23: 14:  “The Lord your God moves about in your camp to protect you and to deliver your enemies to you.  Your camp must be holy, so that he will not see among you anything indecent and turn away from you.”

March 19: Deuteronomy 24-27

Deuteronomy 26:19:  “[God] has declared that he will set you in praise, fame and honor high above all the nations he has made and that you will be a people holy to the Lord your God, as he promised.”

March 20: Deuteronomy 28-29

Deuteronomy 29:29: “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we many follow all the words of this law.”

March 21: Deuteronomy 30-31

Deuteronomy 30:16 & 19:  “See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. . . .  Now, choose life, so that you and your children may live.”

March 22: Deuteronomy 32-34; Psalm 91

Deuteronomy 32:39: “See now that I myself am He!  There is no god besides me.  I put to death and I bring life, I have wounded and I will heal, and no one can deliver out of my hand.”

March 23: Joshua 1-4

Joshua 4:24:  “God did [all] this so that all the peoples of the earth might know that the hand of the Lord is powerful and so that you might always fear the Lord your God.”

March 24: Joshua 5-8

Joshua 8:34-35:  “Joshua read all the words of the law—the blessings and the curses. . . .  There was not a word. . . that Joshua did not read to the whole assembly of Israel.”

March 25: Joshua 9-11

Joshua 10:13-14:  “The sun stopped in the middle of the sky and delayed going down about a full day.  There has never been a day like it before of since, a day when the Lord listened to a man.  Surely the Lord was fighting for Israel!”

March 26: Joshua 12-15

Joshua 14: 10-12:  “Here I am today, eighty-five years old!  I am still as strong today as the day Moses sent me out. . . .  Now give me the hill country that the Lord promised me that day.”

March 27: Joshua 16-18

Joshua 18:3:  “How long will you wait before you begin to take possession of the land that the Lord, the God of your fathers, has given you?”

March 28: Joshua 19-21

Joshua 21:45:  “Not one of all the Lord’s good promises to the house of Israel failed; every one was fulfilled.”

March 29: Joshua 22-24

Joshua 24:15:  “Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve. . . .  But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

March 30: Judges 1-2

Judges 2:18:  “Whenever the Lord raised up a judge for them, he was with the judge and saved them out of the hands of their enemies as long as the judge lived.”

March 31: Judges 3-5

Judges 5:3:  “Hear this, you kings!  Listen, you rulers!  I will sing to the Lord, I will sing; I will make music to the Lord, the God of Israel.”
