Judges 6:14-16:  “The Lord turned to him and said, ‘Go in the strength you have. . . am I not sending you?’  ‘But Lord,’ Gideon asked, ‘how can I save Israel? . . .’  The Lord answered, ‘I will be with you.’”

April 2: Judges 8-9

Judges 8:23:  “But Gideon told them, ‘I will not rule over you, nor will my son rule over you.  The Lord will rule over you.’”

April 3: Judges 10-12

Judges 10:15-16:  “The Israelites said to the Lord, ‘We have sinned.  Do with us whatever you think best, but please rescue us now.’ . . .  And [God] could bear Israel’s misery no longer.”

Psalm 84:1, 2, & 10:  “How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord Almighty!  My soul yearns, even faints for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. . . .  Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere.”

Psalm 77:13-14:  “Your ways, O God, are holy.  What god is so great as our God?  You are the God who performs miracles; you display your power among the peoples.”

April 27:  1 Chronicles 6 & Psalm 73

Psalm 73: “Whom have I in heaven but you?  And earth has nothing I desire besides you.  My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”

April 28:  Psalm 88 & 92-93

Psalm 93:1-2:  “The Lord reigns, he is robed in majesty; the Lord is robed in majesty and is armed with strength. . . .  Your throne was established long ago; you are from all eternity.”
