Hope
The Word FM invites
you and your church to participate with us in
"Cents of Hope" -- our 2008 penny drive to benefit
hunger relief in Honduras
through
The MAMA Project.
Whether it's a
Sunday School, youth group or Bible study project,
or a
church-wide endeavor, we welcome your efforts ... we
know the more widespread the participation, the more
children will be fed!
HOW CAN YOUR CHURCH
GET INVOLVED?
Any way you wish! One
of the simplest ways is to print the provided
"Cents of Hope" label (larger/rectangle,
smaller/square) and attach it to an empty can, bottle
or other container and encourage your church to
collect and donate their pennies. A great
kids' project would be to have each child make their
own donation can to take home and fill, and then
return to you at a designated time. Be as
creative as you wish -- and be sure to
contact The Word FM
and let us know of your participation!
HOW DO WE GET THE PENNIES TO THE WORD FM?
Check the "Cents of Hope" main page for information
on collection dates and locations. You may
also
contact The Word FM
to schedule a time to drop off your donation at the
station (this would likely need to be during weekday
business hours). Keep in mind, though, that
this is a 12-month project! There's no need to
make numerous, small deliveries -- especially if
you're coming from a distance.
WHAT IF WE HAVE
DONATIONS OF NICKELS, DIMES, QUARTERS, etc.?
That's fine -- we'll certainly take
them, but our emphasis is on PENNIES. We
encourage anyone who wants to make more sizable
donations, or donations by check or PayPal, to do so directly through
The MAMA Project.
